Better outcomes for vulnerable youth start with the deliberate creation of better opportunities. Evanston First Alliance (EFA) places the vulnerable youth of Evanston at the epicenter of a community where physical fitness serves as a doorway to better self esteem, better educational and professional opportunities, and better community support and integration. At EFA, youth don't just join the gym - they share in a vision of the present and future where they belong.
Evanston First Alliance provides specialized training and regular opportunities for law enforcement officers to connect with Evanston youth in a consistently positive environment, improving outcomes both for officers and vulnerable populations.
We are proud to offer classes tailored to individuals who require adaptations rarely made in other fitness settings. We offer classes tailored for women interested in empowering themselves and improving fitness by learning self-defense, individuals in wheelchairs who want to improve their fitness through strength training and boxing, and individuals with Parkinson's who can use fitness and boxing classes to strengthen their bodies and sharpen their minds.
